ncarroll24 The plants also take to the air or attach themselves to passing animals or people to be deposited for spring birth.

ncarroll24 Flowers bitten by frost, shrivel and die off only after leaving seeds for the sun and warmth of spring.

ncarroll24 Wild holly getting ready to drop her seeds You can see the tiny red fruits which contains the seeds.

ncarroll24 Those that don't become food for the animalswill become buds and plants next year.

ncarroll24 Leaves on the ground protect the grasses and the fallen seeds from the birds, animals. It becomes a game of hide and seek.

ncarroll24 These will become sediment in the rivers and ponds to feed the water plants and flowers.

ncarroll24 Maple leaves drop to the forest floor and protect the ground cover plants and eventually become nutrients for future growth.

ncarroll24 Nature prepares for winter and then the rebirth of spring.
