Jim It's February, a bright sunny day with lingering frost.

Jim ..who woke to find her love marrying another across the road at the church - she committed suicide, and haunts the pub.

Jim Hundreds of years old, this yew tree by the church needs extra support to keep going.

Jim Jilted barmaid Lizzie Dean wanted to be buried under the church path - so her faithless lover would have to walk over her every Sunday to get to church.

Jim ..her request was refused - and here is the window from which she watched the bridal couple enter the church before hanging herself.

Jim Our coach passed through this gap by a hairsbreadth when we arrived.

Jim After a frosty walk it was nice to gather in the Sun Inn with its cheery fire.

Jim .. a time to try mulled wine on hand at the bar.

Jim I think the ghost of Lizzie Dean is playing tricks with my camera - weird that the camera should produce this picture in the haunted pub - strange. Is that the landlady serving - or Lizzie Dean???

Jim Time to board the coach and set off for another pub where we had booked a meal - Bye Chipping and the Sun Inn, we had a great day.
