Mrs Tomlinson What fun we had! See you on Friday - hopefully it'll be sunny again!
ruthchadbond It was very muddy in a lot of places!
ruthchadbond We were wrapped up warm when we first went into the copse.
ruthchadbond We were excited to see the ring of sticks and branches that Y1 had made.
ruthchadbond Mrs Currid told us all about how they had built it.
ruthchadbond Then we talked about our new topic of the British Isles.
ruthchadbond Mrs Currid showed us a map and we named the countries and cities we know.
ruthchadbond Then we went off into the woods to find words that describe the land in our country.
ruthchadbond We had to look really carefully for the 34 words that Mrs Currid had hidden in the forest.
ruthchadbond Here's another one!
ruthchadbond We really had to search!
ruthchadbond This one was really tricky, right at the back!
ruthchadbond Stuck in the mud!
ruthchadbond Eventually, we found all of them!
ruthchadbond We sorted them into piles of man-made features and natural features.
ruthchadbond After that, we went a walk around the forest looking for some of the features...
ruthchadbond Did you see a lake, or mountains, or hills, or trees?
ruthchadbond We couldn't see a beach or the sea!
ruthchadbond We found deciduous and evergreen trees. Can you remember the difference?
ruthchadbond Holly is an evergreen tree!
ruthchadbond We talked about everything we found!
ruthchadbond Our last activity was "1, 2, 3, where are you?"
ruthchadbond Finally, we had hot chocolate and a biscuit around the fire pit.
ruthchadbond We also sang some songs!
ruthchadbond We had definitely warmed up by the end, and the sun even came out for us!
ruthchadbond Wooh! Sunshine!
ruthchadbond Mrs Currid kindly hose-piped our muddy wellies down!
ruthchadbond Thank-you, Mrs Currid, we had a lovely time and look forward to next week!
