annemclellan before exploring the Dragon's Teeth rocks.

annemclellan where he stayed at Kailua Kona

annemclellan home of the Ironman Triathlon.

annemclellan before a surprise celebration with friends at a Luau!!
annemclellan Next day, he saw turtles on a black sand beach
annemclellan as he drove towards the Volcanoes National Park.

annemclellan and he enjoyed playing in the black sand
annemclellan and watching turtles from the rocks.
annemclellan He went to Kilauea,
annemclellan an active volcano,
annemclellan and discovered steam vents
annemclellan and yellow sulphur left on rocks
annemclellan as he followed a trail
annemclellan through the sulphur banks.
annemclellan Many old lava flows could be seen from the road
annemclellan and he liked the school bus with its' stop sign that he saw later!
annemclellan He travelled to the north of the island, past beaches
annemclellan and hiked to ancient petroglyphs.
annemclellan He saw an ancient temple
annemclellan and site of an old Hawaiian village
annemclellan then saw another King Kamehameha
annemclellan before reaching very steep cliffs at the end of the road.
annemclellan He also went south to Kealakekua Bay
annemclellan and saw where Captain Cook was killed.
annemclellan He drove through coffee plantations to St. Benedict's painted church
annemclellan which he explored, then had a kona coffee.
annemclellan The Place of Refuge was on a beach surrounded by palm trees,
annemclellan he explored the old huts and buildings,
annemclellan saw different tikis
annemclellan and an outrigger canoe.
annemclellan Back on Oahu, he went to the Polynesian Cultural Centre
annemclellan After Billy sailed into Honolulu,
annemclellan he visited Waikiki and the Duke's Statue, went to Ala Moana Shopping Centre
annemclellan and saw the Changing of the Guard at King's Village.
annemclellan He went on a trip around the island- to Hanauma Bay,
annemclellan the Pali Lookout,
annemclellan Byodo-In Temple,
annemclellan and a macadamia farm and shop.
annemclellan He had lunch at Kualoa Ranch then went on a ride
annemclellan up the hillside with views of Chinaman's Hat.
annemclellan He went around the island to Dole Pineapple plantation
annemclellan then back for a walk on Waikiki Beach with the view of Diamond Head.
annemclellan The next day, he climbed Diamond Head
annemclellan a long steep climb with stairs and tunnels,
annemclellan with a spectacular view from the top
annemclellan across Waikiki to Honolulu.
annemclellan He recovered from the hike with a tram ride
annemclellan around Waikiki
annemclellan and saw famous landmarks,
annemclellan before watching hula dancers and the sunset at the beach.
